  • Starting January 1, 2024, your corporation must file a federal Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report within 30 days of formation. Only companies formed in 2024 have a 90-day filing period. Companies formed in 2025 or later have the typical 30 days to submit. This report includes information about your company’s beneficial owners. Beneficial owners are those who have a 25% or greater interest in the business or have a power position like a CEO, president, or financial officer. In addition to general company information, you’ll also need copies of the photo IDs of all beneficial owners, as well the company applicants. A company applicant is the person who directed the formation of the business and the person who did the actual filing (if different). The online report filing is free, and your information is not available to the general public. All companies must file an update within 30 day if any report information changes. Sound like a lot of bureaucracy you don’t want to deal with? Our local experts can handle your BOI report filing immediately and securely for just $25.
  • Many corporations operate under an assumed name because it allows for franchising and branding opportunities. If you’re interested in registering an assumed name (DBA), you can select our Trade Name (DBA) service after signing up for incorporation service at checkout. We will register your assumed name for a total cost of $125, plus state fees.
